I once had an early look into where the future might go during the dawn of the Internet in the public view. We are at one of those points again with ChatGPT bringing AI to the forefront of the public discussion. There are at least two major sides to the emerging debate: 1. “How is this a problem?” AND 2. “How can we utilize this?”
This is an opportunity to engage in the dialog early to support thinking about how we can partner with technology, leverage these tools, to augment our human abilities and perspective in effective and meaningful ways. My primary interests are related to how we can augment learning (and more generally… understanding) or even creativity in an approach that is not a substitute for our most human abilities.
